We are excited to announce that a decade after its foundation in November 2013, CyBe Construction has officially reached its 10 years anniversary! At CyBe, the original 3DCP company, we are proud of our decade of achievements, built on 100 years of history in the construction industry. In light of the ten years of CyBe, we’re excited to announce CyBe’s 10th anniversary event, celebrated on June 27th at our facility in the Netherlands!
The day will be filled with exciting announcements, interesting guest lectures, educational workshops, and delicious food and drinks. Attendance is limited, so make sure you register in time. While the event is open to anyone, we are extending priority registration to our valued partners. 10 Years of CyBe!
Back in 2013, we were the first to set up a company solely dedicated to 3D concrete printing in the construction industry. Though being told this would be impossible, we persisted, and with success! Soon after, many other companies started seeing the value in professional additive manufacturing, and started their own 3D concrete printing companies, effectively leading to the creation of the 3DCP market. Taking this risk as the first company in the market has led us to be ahead of other 3DCP companies, allowing us to transcend the level of mere 3D concrete printing.
Today, 10 years later, we are still reaping the benefits of this technological advantage. We have officially reached a decade of amazing achievements, ranging from playing a role in many countries’ first 3D printed building and having partners on 6 different continents, to building more sustainably than ever, and expanding our scope of operations to more than just selling printers. Take a look at our history below to see how we got to where we are today!
2013: CyBe Founded!
Back in 2013, we completed our very first print. This structure from our home-welded machine laid the foundation for CyBe Construction. On November 1st, CyBe was founded, continuing the legacy of the 100-year-old construction company Hendriks Construction.
2014: CyBe Mortar Developed
No time was wasted, and the development of 3D concrete printing hardware, software, and materials continued. In 2014, we made significant advancements to our technology, and we successfully created the first version of CyBe Mortar.
2015: First Customers
Our efforts in advancing 3DCP technology paid off: in 2015, CyBe gained its first customers. Our first print jobs were mainly street furniture, such as benches and planters. After these prints, we started gaining validation, leading to more customers.
2016: The CyBe RC
After years of development, our first mobile 3D printer was here: The CyBe RC! Though the printer would be improved over the years, this initial model was groundbreaking at the time. Leveraging its capabilities, we were able to make the switch to printing buildings. This new innovation gathered a lot of interest, leading to the acquisition of the first project with the CyBe RC soon after its initiation.
2017: First RC Project & Sale
Using the top-selling CyBe RC, we completed the award-winning R&Drone Lab in Dubai in just 3 weeks. This rapid construction with minimal workers provided a solution to the labor shortage in Japan, leading to Aizawa Japan purchasing the first CyBe RC in 2017. They would later become one of our most significant partners.
2018: CyBe Academy
After gaining extensive experience with 3D concrete printing over the years, it was time to share this knowledge with the world through our CyBe Academy. In 2018, we also printed The 3D Housing 05 in Italy and The 3D Studio 2030 in the Saudi Arabian desert.
2019: LyVe by CyBe
In 2019, a new CyBe brand entered the market: LyVe. Under this design label, our team of in-house architects developed various easy-to-build designs, allowing quick, cost-effective, and high-quality builds, aimed at making affordable and sustainable living attainable for all. We also finished ‘De Vergaderfabriek’: our first project as a general contractor.
2020: CyBe Lybrary
We started our CyBe Lybrary back in 2020. On this platform, we and our partners could share and print each other’s models. We also added a Knowledge Base to share videos and documents on various topics, like hardware, software, and material guides.
2021: The CyBe Gantry
In 2021, we introduced our large-scale, portal-based printer: The CyBe Gantry. With this new printer came new capabilities, and soon, we introduced our patented Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) with 3D concrete printing. Within PPVC, modular building blocks can be fully finished in a factory setting, to be installed on-site later.n 2021, we introduced our large-scale, portal-based printer: The CyBe Gantry. 2022: CyBe Construction Florida LLC
After reaching a worldwide network, it was time to start preparing for our first international office. The first steps were taken for our American home base: CyBe Construction Florida LLC. In 2022, we also sold our first CyBe Gantry.
2023: The CyBe Gantry Robot
We initiated our most advanced printer yet in 2023: The CyBe Gantry Robot. Combining the large-scale, PPVC capabilities of our Gantry and the flexibility of our Robot, we’re able to take the first steps towards launching an almost fully automated housing factory. In this CyBe Construction Center (CCC), we build modular, circular housing blocks to be assembled on the construction site.
2024: To Be Continued…
